LU Radio and The Outpost are presenting an awesome series of shows at Lakehead University this year. Six shows have been scheduled and number one was a HUGE success! Now, the time has come for show number two!
Friday October 17th, CILU and LUSU’s Multicultural Centre present an night of music and entertainment you won’t forget! Doors open at 9pm and the fun starts at 9:30 with performances from The World Dance Centre, Don’t You(,) Mean People? and The Married Singlemen! Then you can dance the night away with LU Radio’s own DJ Elaty of Riddim Rider.
This event is 19+ and only $5 at the door with all proceeds going to help fund the Multicultural Centre and CILU.
The LU Radio Concert Series is presented by The Walleye – Thunder Bay’s Arts & Culture Magazine, The Outpost Campus Pub, New Day Records & Accessories, The Loop, Lakehead University Student Union (LUSU), The Argus, and TBshows.com

Saturday June 21st, LU Radio holds its annual yard sale in the back yard of 707 Oliver Rd. Come peruse goods from the LU Radio vaults, including music and household items as well as items from our programmers and listeners!
Want to have a table for yourself? Crafters, Artisans, Collectors, Bands or people with stuff are welcome! Or, maybe you’ve got some things that others might need but you just want it out of your house? Donate it to us and we’ll make sure it gets a good home at a fair price!
The LU Radio Yards Sale, Saturday June 21st from 10am to 2pm in the backyard of 707 Oliver Rd.

Enjoy a hearty local buffet brunch with Dad* at Sweet Pea’s on Father’s Day! Limited tickets available for a very special event. There are two seatings, each with musical accompaniment, door prizes and more.
Seating 1 begins at 11:00am, music provided by Wayne Faulconer (Certified Guitar Player and member of the Sensational Hot Rods, among many others)
Seating 2 begins at 1:45pm, music provided by Jamie Smith (of The Auditor General)
Door prizes include beautiful mugs from Early Snows pottery, t-shirts and CDs/vinyl from LU Radio.
Adult tickets are $38, tickets for children under 8 are $25. Menu to follow soon, will include coffee, juice, mains, sides, dessert and multiple options for meat-eaters and vegetarians.
Sweet Pea’s owner and chef Marija Harp is generously donating her time and energy for this event, which is a benefit for LU Radio.
Tickets must be purchased in advance. They are available at Calico Coffeehouse and at the Thunder Bay Country Market’s upstairs location of the Waking Giant coffee shop.
