Wow! Winter’s here! It’s almost like our climate is completely changing…oh wait! Isn’t that appropriate! The International Day of Climate Action is taking place this Saturday October 24th. Not only will there be a rally in Thunder Bay’s Waverly Park from 2-4pm, but Josh Kolic will also be doing a special 1 hour show Saturday morning at 9am EST. He’ll have Bruce Hyer (MP Port Arthur, NDP) on the show to discuss what needs to be done to stop the damage…or if anything can be done. Make sure to tune in! Also, later that night, at 7pm tune in to Rawk Star Gurl’s Rawkin’ Hour of Rawk N’ Roll to hear some gummin’ and strummin’ with Gordie Johnson of Grady!!

Pat Returns next week to host Mental Health & Recovery Wednesdays from 1-2pm as well so….Inside Europe will now take the place of Monday’s edition of Newsling (7-8am) and Deconstructing Dinner moves to Fridays at 11am, which means Earthbeat will now take the place of Tuesday’s Newslink (7-8am). The wicked fall winds played some serious havoc with LU Radio’s worldwide headquarters this week and has unfortunately left us without internet. That means no internet broadcast right now, though thankfully we were able to get the FM broadcast back up after about 3 hours of downtime. It also means that we currently have no phones at the station, and I’m thinking email probably won’t work either. As soon as we’re back up and running, I’ll update again!
Sorry for the inconvenience!
