Wow! It’s busy times at LU Radio, and that includes getting ready for the holiday season! Of course it wouldn’t be December in Thunder Bay without some snow (which fell tonight) and it wouldn’t be LU Radio without some changes to the schedule in December. A new schedule will be posted later this week (a temporary one and you’ll see why soon) and a more permanent one will appear closer to the end of the month.
First off, this week we say goodbye to Pat Morris, host of Recovery and Mental Health: A Consumer Survivor’s Perspective which aired on Wednesday’s from 1-2pm. Unfortunately, Pat has decided that radio has put too much wear and tear on her this year and it’s time to relax a little bit. We are definitely going to miss Pat and wish her well! Starting next week, on the 9th of December, Maria’s Mix Tape will move from Monday from 10-11am to the Wednesday 1-2pm timeslot.
Secondly, Josh Kolic has decided to cut back his time here at LU Radio. Trying to get a show done 5 days a week along with his many other commitments has proven a little difficult this year, so in order to ensure that the program you are receiving is quality, Josh has decided to cut back to one hour a week, once a week. The Josh Kolic Experience will now be heard Thursdays for one hour, from 9-10pm EST. That, of course will leave a bit of a gap in programming, but not to fear! We do have some things lined up for all of you. Monday’s will see the Mother/Daughter Theme Show 15-50 move from their 7-8pm timeslot to the 9-10am time slot. This will happen on the 21st of December, but until then we’ll be rebroadcasting some older shows for you to enjoy! Tuesday, LU Radio alumni Richella Hyde returns as an actual programmer with ‘Girl On The Tracks’ in the 9-10am slot. This will take place next Tuesday, the 8th of December. What about Wednesday and Friday? Well, we’ll be moving some of our other shows around for that. Wednesday will now host Arts on the Air and Pulse back to back before moving into Alert! And Fridays will see W.I.N.G.S. move into the first half hour followed by World In Progress.
More changes and new shows will be happening very shortly! Make sure you stay tuned to CILU for all your updates!
